Richard A. Florsheim (1916-1979)

Born 1916, Chicago IL. Attended Univ. of Chicago. Studied in NY with Aaron Bohrod, then in France. He began working in lithography in Chicago in 1940. He enlisted in the US Navy in 1942 and served in the Pacific theater as a cartographer. He obtained patents for his radar plane-spotting technique. He later helped found the Artists' League of the Midwest with Artists' Equity Assoc. of NY. Florsheim died in 1979.
