            Description
Wooden table surrounded by concrete stools. Each stool is cast with a ceramic collar inscribed with a different philosopher's name. Table and stools on gravel.  
Rebuilt in 2009 by Dr. John Taylor's Alpha Seminar class. Alkis Tsolakis & Tom Parker designed table & stools. Bob Dreier made ceramic collars. Terry Wood helped with construction.
Philosophers were chosen for their conversational possibilities. Former Dean Steve Good appointed a committee who solicited nominations from the whole faculty of possible philosophers for the stools. Good chose these eight from 50 nominations.
